Yesterday I was told of a joke that came across XM Satellite Radio.

This man was fishing in a lake for large carp and was reeling in catch after catch. A group of young boys was intently watching this angler's success. Finally one of the boys got the courage to ask the angler: "What kind of bait you Using, Mister?"

He said: "Kittens!"

Now I am not an animal rights activist by any means, in fact I dont' like cats or dogs and due to my wife's allergies we are blessed to never have to own either, but that's taking it too far. I wouldn't ever condone dangling kittens off the end of hook for giant fish to gnaw at as if they were worms.

However, as the same time I thought it a a hilarious joke and just that - a joke. Until I found this google search result:

A number of people remain skeptical at either claim but evidently if you are a European cat or dog owner, I'd advise you to not take them for a walk around the Po River.
