Today I woke up to snow falling here in Washington, D.C. That isn't surprising seeing how it still is literally winter, but it gave me a reason to write an updated post.

This Saturday we are finally moving out of the craphole that is our studio apartment overlooking Lincoln Park. Valerie's office has agreed to rent her an apartment and pay the utilities on 8th street for when she is here in D.C. working. Her company has also agreed to pay for flights to Ft. Lauderdale every weekend to see me, and allowed her to work from Florida one day a week!

So we will be moving our stuff out of storage finally and out of our rathole into a beautiful basement apartment on 8th street this Saturday. I hope it's good weather and not too cold.

As far as Florida goes, we will load up the Volvo with everything that I need, all my possessions and drive down towards Florida on the 15th and finish the trip on the 16th. I will have to get some cheap furniture while I'm there but at least to start out there will be a pull-out couch in the apartment so I don't have to sleep on an air mattress.

We got a really nice condo overlooking the beach in one of those famous Miami highrise condo buildings. (AC is paid for -- very nice deal)

Valerie will be down in Miami with me most of the time and we will work out our schedule so that she's there when I don't have to work home games but on the nights where I have to work late she can be up here in D.C.

We really like Capital Hill here in D.C. and the friends we have made here. Who knows where this job will take us in 2008, but I'm sure something will pan out.

I'm excited about this new opportunity and a little nervous as well.

Lots of changes begin next week!
