I am a sucker for reunions. The greater the distance between seeing each other the all the more sweeter it becomes.

This week has just barely started and already I have been reunited with two of my favorite people from when I lived in Ohio in 1998-2000.

On Monday I got an email from an old friend from back then and she gave me the rundown on her family's whereabouts after 9 years. They had moved from Ohio out west and I lost contact unfortunately. I loved being around their family. Of all the people I met in Ohio when I lived there, this family meant the most to me. I still have a lot of love for them.

This afternoon, not five minutes after returning from lunch, I got an IM from a guy I used to work with in Ohio in 1998. We chatted for a bit and caught up and swore we'd keep in touch better this time around. Back in 1998 email was fairly new and mass communications weren't as rampant or embedded in our lives as they are today. He is now a dentist in the Army, stationed in Germany.

It's so good to catch up with former friends and to especially see that they are in good spirits and health.
