Update on Baby Paris Site
Posted by Nathan & Valerie at 7:56 PM |
Today Valerie went to her new doctor in Virginia for a checkup. This doctor is the one who saw our sister-in-law, Rachael, when she had her twins in 2006.
We transferred all her records from Florida to Virginia and so her new doctor didn't need to perform any tests. The doctor used an electronic Fetal Doppler to determine when the next tidal wave was going to occur, oh, wait, I mean, to find baby PARIS SITE'S heartbeat.
The doctor said the baby's heartbeat is at 144 beats per minute. If you believe the old wives tales, then that is evidence that the baby is a girl (according to some, anything above 140 beats/minute means the baby is a girl). Obviously, if you ask some mothers, this is not always correct.
The doctor also gave her medication that will hopefully help her nausea since she has been really sick over the last six weeks. Currently she also has a cold that she caught from a co-worker.

wow. I've been really busy and haven't read your blog for a while. Imagine my surprise when I saw the word baby. Congratulations!
congratulations you two! I hope you're feeling better soon valerie!
hey guys congrats on the little bean!!! Valerie my due date with Maddie was Sept. 6 so I know exactly what you'll be going through in the summer months, my only advice is to walk A LOT because it keeps the swelling down, and drink lots of water! The last two months of my pregnancy I power walked every night and the night before I had her I did an almost jog, it helped my stamina and my swelling so I didn't puff up like a balloon while in the hospital! Just some friendly advice from a new mom! love you guys... and its been way to long since you both have come back to Fairview Ln.!
