Baby Updates

Posted by Nathan & Valerie at 3:38 PM |10 comments
For all of you who decide to come visit this blog to see if there is a baby update, here it is:

Valerie has started to feel the baby move around/kick but it's only 7 ounces so it's not very strong and I haven't been able to feel anything quite yet.

Valerie scheduled her next ultrasound for May 2. That's the next time they could get us in to find out the sex of the baby.

And for the next question everybody loves to ask:

When we find out the gender of the baby we WILL let everybody know (that way we don't get yellows or greens); however, we will NOT be telling people the name of the baby. In fact, unless it's a girl we don't even know what we are going to call it.

We are thinking if it's a boy to call him Ebenezer Jerome Coffey and if it's a girl perhaps Matilda Pearl Coffey.

Actually no, but like I said we are gonna keep the name till closer till the birth or after (and Matilda Pearl was Valerie's Cabbage Patch Kid back in the day).

That's the update for now. We'll keep everyone updated.

i am saying the bump is too low to be a boy. Girls like to chill by the barn door, boys like the boobs! so my educated guess is girly in which case i am allowing you to use my name. I would be honored. ha ha

Congrats guys. I know that it is going to be a girl, and not just any girl. The girliest girl there ever was. Not one who would moon another car, but one who loves pink and plays with dolls. She will love makeup and tea parties and having her hair brushed.

LOL Jared! If the kid can't drop her pants and moon another car, then she's no child of mine. There will have to be some serious disciplinary action-- possibly withholding tea parties!

You guys are GOING to have a boy, and his name WILL be George Washington Coffey, because he was the founder of this country and the founder of your offspring? Or just call him dude until he's 18.
